Smacchat College Football Top 25

1. Florida - Can't dispute this pick, defending national champs with Tebow returning and a plethora of talent and speed surrounding him. King of the hill until someone knocks them off. The big question is can they survive the SEC unblemished?
2. Texas - C'mon Horns! LA Monroe, Wyoming, and UTEP as your non-conference schedule? If that comes back to bite you come December, you deserve it.
3. USC - It's all about the Q for SC. The kid is going to need to not miss a beat when he comes in. 9/12 at the Horseshoe is his litmus test and that's a lot to ask.
4. Oklahoma - Sets up for a nice showdown with Tebow/Bradford again this year, and if he can get them back to the B-12 title game SB will deserve all the props he gets.
5. Alabama - Watch out for these guys down at number 5. IF any of the freshman can come in and immediately contribute from that monster recruiting class they'll be round' come Jan/Feb
6. Va. Tech - The flag carrier of the ACC, at least the Pac-10 has other reps in the top 10, and that schedule is SOFT!. Tech can easily find themselves among the last of the unbeatens.
7. Ole Miss - This is the team that has quietly gone under the radar and may sneak up and not only challenge the incumbent but actually win the SEC East.
8. Ohio State - Ok, we're only going to get so excited about OSU until they can show us they've addressed the team speed issue, that they've matured at QB, and that they can actually win a BCS game.
9. Cal - We like em'. Lotta talent, they get SC at home which will decide the division and have good experience coming back.
10. Oklahoma State - Another school that was able to parlay a great season into an excellent recruiting class. They may no see the dividends this year but if they get some immediate contribution, don't pencil the Sooners in just yet.
