Two BCS unbeatens control their own destiny

As Penn St. lost their membership to upper echelon club that are “the unbeatens”, two other members (TTech, Bama’) noched huge wins and now control their own destiny as if they win out they are into the NCS. Unfortunately, what lies in their path is at least two games against top 5 opponents BEFORE they even get to the show. For Tech, an elimination game next week against #5 Oklahoma with the only solace being that it will be played in the friendly confines of Lubbock, Texas. For the ‘Tide a huge over time victory at LSU was only step one as a date with Florida in the SEC Title game seems likely. The storybook ending for the Nittany Lions came to a close with the last second loss at Iowa dropping them to depths of the BCS in regards to NC game and now must focus on the showdown with Michigan State for the Big-10 title on the 22nd in Happy Valley. Even a victory there will not send them to Miami, but Pasadena instead, which normally would make the Valley happy but this was supposed to the dream ending to Jopa’s last season. Which brings us to the “one-loss wonders” who’s membership increases each week, (Florida, Texas, OU, SC) all of which have a scenario and an argument, however obscure, that justifies their presence in the NCG. What would be the worst for all involved is for Tech and Bama’ to run the table, roll into the title game, and allow this farce to continue for yet another year under the premise that the system works and does not need any improvement.
